Lendrum Saxony spinning wheel - S. California

I have had my dream spinning wheel, a Watson Marie, for a year now and it seems like time to pass on my Lendrum Saxony wheel, although it is really hard to part with this beauty.

My Lendrum Saxony wheel is made of cherry wood and it is a very, very gently used wheel. In fact, it looks brand new – no scratches or dings. Although I bought it from a former owner, it was still in its unfinished state and I rubbed it to its beautiful cherry color with Danish oil. I have regularly oiled the wood, so that it has maintained its beauty. This wheel has the flyer on the left, has double treadles, and has a 28” diameter wheel. It has ratios of 8:1, 12:1, 15:1, 18:1. I have it set up as Scotch tension and it spins beautifully. The wheel comes with a lazy kate and 5 bobbins. To purchase new, there is an average of a 3 year wait for one of these wheels.

Located in Orange County, Southern California. I do not want to ship this wheel so it is for pick up only. I am asking $1,150.00 for the wheel, lazy kate and bobbins. Please email me at CapFibArt@aol.com with any questions.

The Sonata, from the Kromskis of Poland, is a marriage between the classic architecture and design concepts shared with all other Kromski wheels and the functional needs of a wheel that folds. You get both. Clear lacquer finish.

It is a full-size spinning wheel that folds and packs away as a small package, making it perfect for traveling, guild and festival gatherings or simply storage when not in use. The Kromskis have put a lot of thought into the Sonata. Full size yet small dimensions when folded, easy to set-up and take down, solid feel, solid footprint, plenty of foot room, easy treadling on double treadles, orifice at a comfortable height and classic looks. Spokes that draw your attention, every piece of wood with cuts, curves and character; this is an appealing spinning wheel that is a pleasure to use.

The Suzie folds up for transport and has a convenient built-in carry handle which pops up when folded.
